About The Red Eye Podcast
Ally Murphy is ex cabin crew, a British Actress and an award winning voice over artist based in the USA. She began working in the theatre and television in the UK in the 1990’s and paused for 14 years to fly around the world as an international flight attendant. In 2016 she left the aviation world to follow her dreams to become a voice actor and has since won multiple awards for her performances in video games, commercials, animation and documentary narration. She hopes the stories of her adventures around the world, mistakes, dreams, and humor can help others trying to make the most out of their lives.
A flight attendant for over two and a half decades, Kaylie Kay began writing novels based on the world of flying back in 2017, starting with The Osprey Series, of which Ally narrated her first audiobook, Because She Could.
Kaylie combines her flying career with being an author by using her layovers as the perfect time to get creative. She can be found writing in far-flung destinations, from her balcony in Barbados, to a bistro table in Bryant Park and loves nothing more than to sit with a laptop and a coffee, creating stories for The Red Eye by adding a fictional twist to the true-life tales that come her way.
Back home in Southampton, England, Kaylie is a wife, mother to two teenagers and dog-mum to her growing collection of rescues, and she loves simply hanging out with them all by the sea.

Travel stories that shape your life
The Red Eye Podcast came about after Ally realised that cabin crew have a lifetime of stories from their days of flying around the world for an international airline. There are stories that changed lives, stories of love, stories of tragedy and those unbelievable tales of absurd passenger behaviour! These stories come from real life experiences of Ally, Kaylie and a host of other cabin crew members and pilots who have donated their experiences. The Red Eye Podcast wants to entertain and inspire, but also protect the identities of those involved so these true stories have taken on a fictional flair for the podcast!
Do flight attendants have lots of stories?
Flight attendants, cabin crew, stewardesses, whatever you call them, all have incredible stories to tell. They can tell you about drunk passengers, emergency situations, medical emergencies, celebrities on flights stories, tales of the mile club, finding love in the air, outrageous room parties in hotels around the world to name but a few! Flying around the world for a living lends you the opportunity to meet lots of different people, experience a life you’d never normally live, and have a glamorous lifestyle whilst also serving chicken and beef to the masses in economy class. It truly is a champagne lifestyle on lemonade wages! We do love the adventure though. And on The Red Eye podcast, you get a glimpse of what goes on in the mysterious world of flight attendants!
